HOST A SCREENING FOR
AFTER THE APOLOGY
1. DONATE TO THE IMPACT CAMPAIGN
Please donate to the After the Apology impact and outreach campaign via the UTS Jumbunna Research Institute. Using the film as the central tool and with a coalition of partners our goal is to raise awareness and advocate for change. Our vision is to achieve a significant reduction int he rate of Indigenous children being removed from their families and change practices towards increasing Indigenous self-determination in child placements.
Thank you in advance for your support!
2. HOST A SCREENING AT A COMMUNITY VENUE
This option is available from 26 May.
You can choose to host a screening in a setting of your choice. This can be anywhere, from a boardroom to a community hall, a church to a university lecture theatre. We charge a minimal license fee for this option, and will send either a digital link or DVD, marketing materials and some handy tips to plan your screening.
If you would like to host a discussion or Q&A after the film, get in touch with us and we can connect you with the filmmakers and other experts.
Just fill in the form below and we’ll be in touch.
3. HOST A CINEMA SCREENING
Available to screen in cinemas 14 May – book now.
Book and plan your cinema screening now through DEMAND.FILM, an online platform that supports individuals and organisations to screen films they want to play at their local cinema. Here’s how it works:
1. Click here to visit After The Apology on the DEMAND.FILM website.
2. Sign up to host the screening by becoming the event’s ‘promoter’.
3. Indicate your preferred date, time and cinema and DEMAND.FILM will get in touch to confirm the details.
4. Spread the word! Invite firends and community to buy tickets via the ticket link.
5. Once enough tickets are sold (usually 40-50) by a designated date, the screening is confirmed. If not enough tickets are sold, no one is charged and the event is cancelled. If you wish, you can then choose to try again for a screening on another date.
